At Global Load Control we run various Corporate Social Investment Programmes aimed at sustaining our local communities. Our response to a high unemployment rate is investing in our people, by upskilling and nurturing future leaders.


We strive to identify the need in our communities and lend a hand by contributing to different sectors. Initiatives range from Graduate Programmes to Mandela Day events and are centred around education, community upliftment and skills development.

TALENT MANAGEMENT INITIATIVES

LANGVANTAGE 

INITIATIVES

Our tailor-made language programme Langvantage was developed to create opportunities for South Africans to become multi-lingual. This allows for the upskilling of agents, enabling them to speak German fluently, enhancing their skill set for life. The programme has allowed us to give equal opportunities to hard-working and dedicated people regardless of their backgrounds.

In May 2019 we had our first intake of agents who successfully completed the Langvantage programme. The programme has given agents an opportunity to broaden their skillset while gaining valuable experience working with global clients. Once agents have completed the programme they are mentors to potential candidates who would also like to partake, thus inspiring others to attain and achieve greater heights.

Once agents have completed the programme they are mentors to potential candidates who would also like to partake, thus inspiring others to attain and achieve greater heights.

ACADEMIA 

At GLC we are passionate about people reaching their full potential. We believe strongly in the continuous upskilling of our greatest assets, OUR PEOPLE in order to create better and equal opportunities! Our talent management programme ACADEMIA supports our colleagues that wish to study further and enhance their knowledge and skill set, but who do not have the necessary resources. Academia provides funding for university programmes and courses that add value to the day-to-day business of our operation.


We want to give young aspiring individuals with a passion for the #aviation industry the opportunity to succeed and build a thriving career.

Every year GLC staff are given the opportunity to nominate organizations in need of assistance. The aim is primarily to encourage collaborative partnerships to support initiatives in the areas of education and literacy, food and nutrition, sanitation, shelter as well as active citizenship.


In July 2022 we celebrated MANDELA DAY by connecting with Breadline Africa, a charity dedicated to the upliftment of Southern Africa’s poorer communities by providing educational infrastructure units and alleviating hunger. Our colleagues got together and made over 250 sandwiches for a feeding project located in Blue Downs, Western Cape, called New Haven Social Concerns. This was a great opportunity to live out our GLC values, that people make all the difference, and to give back to the community!
