ISO 9001:2008 Certification

DEKRA has certified that all three centres – Cape Town, Brno and Istanbul – meet the strict requirements of ISO 9001. The GLC network was one of the first organisations worldwide to be certified with the revised standard of ISO 9001:2008.

ISO 9001 is a process and system-oriented approach for quality management and continuous improvement. For certification purposes customer focus, leadership, employee process and system orientation, continuous improvement, factual analysis for decision making as well as mutually beneficial supplier relationships have been scrutinised.

An efficient quality management system and its continuous improvement are always strategic objectives for GLC. Additionally the ISO certification provides an objective and worldwide acknowledged testimonial that quality aspects are successful and targeted at all evaluated areas.

This provides the basis for further sustainable improvement of service quality.ISO requirements also entail internal auditing whereby key accounts within the organisation systematically ensure compliance.

GLC was awarded the “Calling the Cape Award” in 2006 for innovation. 2009 was a big year for GLC with a nomination for the Dekra award as well as being awarded the Lufthansa Quality prize 2009.

These outstanding achievements further highlight GLC’s focus on quality.
